2010-2011 Feng Shui Fundamentals
and Practitioner Certification Program

Our certification program is taught across three modules that address various aspects of feng shui and subtle energies related to one's home and work environments. Each module begins with three days "onsite" followed by a series of six to eight two-hour webinars. Each webinar is recorded so it is easy to catch up if you need to miss a class. Webinars are also an excellent way to review class material. Each onsite module includes a group consultation or practicum. The modules can be taken alone or combined for professional certification.

We provide comprehensive notes with each module that supplement what we cover in class, serving as an excellent resource and training manual.

Module I begins in October. The onsite program is taught from Thursday to Saturday, thus requiring only six work days for those working a Monday through Friday job. The webinars for Modules II and III are taught before we meet onsite. This enables you to accelerate your learning during the winter and spring months and get additional help or practice onsite for any specific topic of concern. The webinar schedule will be set to accommodate student schedules as best we can.

Students can have access to the modules notes via email once payment for each particular module is received. This enables you to jump start your studies.

Module I: The Fundamentals of Feng Shui
Onsite Class Dates: Thursday, October 21 - Saturday, October 23, 2010
Class Times: 9:00am - 4:30pm

Module I Onsite Topics Include:

Feng Shui Origins and History
Students will learn about the origins of feng shui and how it has evolved through time. You will be introduced to the key feng shui principles rooted in the I Ching and begin the study of the feng shui bagua - the symbolic map of life issues. Chi and chi cultivation are a significant part of feng shui. Students are introduced to a variety of personal chi cultivation methods and encouraged to develop a daily practice.

The Five Elements
The Five Element theory is the basis of many holistic practices, including Chinese medicine. It provides the key to feng shui adjustments as well as balancing one's space and one's life. Once you understand the relationships amoung the elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water...you will have the essential tools for applying cures to environments and making personal adjustments, for aligning your energies for your consultations and for understanding the Astrology of 9 Star Ki and Four Pillars.

Introduction to Dowsing
We introduce dowsing during Module I so you can develop this intuitive skill and practice during the winter months. We use dowsing during Module II to detect earth energies and geopathic stress.

Onsite Consultation
The onsite consultation during each Module is invaluable. It provides an opportunity to study land form, to put your new knowledge into practice, to be comfortable with whatever comes up and realize where further development and study is needed. You will apply the bagua to the client's plot plan and floor plan and determine the form and bagua issues. Based on the client's intentions, you will identify the three most important areas for evaluation and determine what areas require balancing or adjustment.

The Red Envelope Tradition
Information about this tradition will be provided prior to class and the tradition will be further explained in class. In keeping with the red envelope tradition for sharing valuable knowledge about feng shui cures, all students are asked to present 27 red envelopes to the teachers during Module I onsite days. Red envelopes can be prepared ahead of time or purchased and prepared while onsite.

Our Webinars...
Our time together is followed by a series of webinars that you take from your home or office. Webinars expand on the information provided onsite and present additional topics. Each webinar is recorded and can be downloaded for viewing multiple times.

Module I Webinar Topics Include:

External Land Form and Feng Shui Adjustments
Learning to read and assess the chi of land is fundamental to understanding the foundational, energetic support given to each dwelling from the earth and its form. You will never look at a plot or land the same as you discover which shapes and land forms are auspicious, providing vital energies to a structure and which can be draining to your life and aspirations. Good feng shui form, plot shapes, house shapes, roads, waterways, driveways and pathways and landscaping will be covered. Detrimental earth energies, commonly found under dwellings and often referred to as geopathic stress, will be introduced as well and their impact on health discussed. Adjustments and cures to balance external land forms and situations will be presented. Tools for Adjustments and Method of Minor Additions will be covered, the start of your feng shui "tool kit".

Internal Architectural Details and Feng Shui Adjustments
You will learn how to identify and begin to balance the interior architectural details of buildings using the 12 Methods of Minor Additions. All the classical tools like bamboo flutes, crystals, 10 Emperor's Coins and more will be discussed along with how to use them for various cures. The differences between mundane and transcendental cures will be discussed and the 3 Secrets Reinforcement, which is used to set the intention for every cure, will be taught. This is a treasure chest of ancient knowledge that will be shared verbally and often cannot be found in any published books. This aspect of feng shui builds over many years of practice.

Floor Plans
Preparing and reading floor plans is an important part of feng shui. You will draw a room to scale, do furniture lay out according to good feng shui principles and submit your plan for review.

Putting It All Together
We discuss the flow of feng shui consultations, methods to protect and strengthen your energy and provide you with a consultation checklist that can be used to begin assessing the feng shui of land and buildings on your own.

After Module I, students will have a firm foundation of the principles and theory behind feng shui. Students will also have a basic understanding of the tools used to adjust one's space and techniques for doing so. Participants are ready to analyze their own home and begin case studies. Module II takes you deeper.

Upon completing this module, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance for Module I Studies. Students are prepared to do a feng shui assessment of their own home and deepen their understanding of the impact of one's space on life.

Module II: Heaven, Earth and Man
Class Dates: Thursday, March 24 – Saturday, March 26, 2011
Class Times: 9:00am - 4:30pm

Module II Onsite Topics Include:

Participants learn deeper aspects of feng shui and strengthen onsite dowsing skills. Identifying and balancing energies that often lead to "sick houses" is emphasized. Our onsite consultation provides an opportunity to go deeper based on whatever emerges.

Principles of Energy, Building Intuition and Setting Clear Intentions
Every aspect of life is influenced by energy and everyone is intuitive. We teach you to enhance and build your intuition into a finely honed tool to assist the receipt of answers that guide your work and life. As you tap into your intuition, you are in a stronger position to shift your energy and release your limiting patterns and beliefs, develop beliefs that match your desires and assist others to do the same.

Tracing the Nine Stars
The Nine Stars are a basic building block of feng shui. They are found in the different traditions and they are the root of many cures and adjustments. Students will trace the Nine Stars around the bagua map. Once you understand the pattern and imprint it into your knowledge base, you will have a deeper well to see patterns and draw solutions.

Personal Chi Development Practices
Personal chi development is essential to being a feng shui practitioner. Your self-development is always in motion. The more skilled you become operating as an empty vessel and leaving your own baggage outside client's homes and buisnesses, the more successful your practice will be.

Assessing Life Force of a Property and Finding Chi Path Blockages
Dowsing is just one of many intuitive, divinatory skills that enhance your intuition and clarity. In feng shui, dowsing is a useful skill for many applications, but it is most often used to help locate invisible energies like chi paths or the geopathic stress lines under dwellings that may be impacting the health and well being of your clients or their family. Continuing with basic dowsing practices learned during Module I, you will apply this skill to the location and identification of earth energies such as underground water, fault lines and fissures as well as grid lines like the Curry and Hartmann lines. Locating these lines, understanding their impact on health and offering solutions to remediate them are a part of the feng shui geomantic traditions.

Onsite Feng Shui Consultation
This is an opportunity to put your more advanced feng shui knowledge into practice. You will learn how to relate intentions to specific locations of the building or property and look for the most significant patterns to ajust or balance. You will profile the client's Nine Star Ki astrology and identify Best Personal Directions. You will also practice dowsing to locate geopathic stress and to make sure people are not sleeping or working over such areas for long periods of time. This hands-on experience will boost confidence in your ability to pull everything together and apply relevant information to the situation at hand, putting you at ease about future feng shui consultations.

Module II Webinar Topics Include:

Bringing Intentions to Life
In your feng shui practice, you will be working with your clients to help them manifest their wishes and goals. To do so successfully requires you to fully understand the universal principles of the Law of Attraction and how to implement them for yourself and others. During this module, you will learn how to tune into your intuitive gifts as well as how one's subconscious thoughts manifest - how thoughts are things and how energy becomes matter in the physical environment. You will also learn how to shift your thoughts and feelings to reflect your true desires, using positive language and intent.

The Magic and Mystery of Numbers: Lo Shu Best Directions, House Numbers
Another fun aspect of energy to understand is the dynamics behind the numbers and how they relate to the five elements. This is a deep, esoteric subject. We cover the basics that relate to feng shui, learn the energy behind house numbers and determine the best directions to face one's bed, desk or favorite chair.

Introduction to 9 Star Ki Astrology
Students will also learn about the elemental nature of people through the Japanses systm of Nine Star Ki astrology. Knowing your nature and that of your clients can be a big help in forming good first impressions and understanding some of the patterns of personalities and relationships.

The Business of Feng Shui...Getting Started and Sorting It All Out
If you intend to be a successful feng shui practitioner, you'll find this series of webinars essential. You will learn professional guidelines for conducting successful feng shui consultations. Basic business practices, including how to set fees and how to write a business plan, will be covered. You will also learn how to align feng shui with your interests and talents to build your business, enhance your marketing and adapt to current economic conditions. This information is indispensable if you are just beginning or you are re-energizing a stalled practice.

After Module II, students will begin to understand one’s energetic interactions with their environment, identifying patterns that tend to repeat themselves in one’s life and some of the things we can do to create supportive living and working environments. Students will learn how to apply dowsing to identify and remediate paths of geopathic stress in homes. Students will also learn how to prepare Nine Star Ki astrology summaries and be introduced to the basics of setting up a feng shui business.  An onsite group consultation ties together all we have learned in Modules I and II.

At the end of Module II, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance for Module II Studies. Students completing Module I and Module II and 4 case studies will also receive a “Fundamentals of Feng Shui Certification” upon completion and review of the cases.

Module III: Immersion in the Energetic Realms
Class Dates: Thursday, May 19 – Saturday, May 21, 2011
Class Times: 9:00am - 4:30pm

Module III Onsite Topics Include:

During Module III we explore the mystery and magic of invisible, energetic realms and their impact on your life, health and practice. While onsite, we will practice simple and powerful techniques to clear and strengthen one's personal energy fields. We also teach and practice clearing space of negative imprints and predecessor energy. Learning how to charge or energize objects and conducting blessing ceremonies are a special focus.

The Electromagnetic Environment and Safety Tips for Practitioners
The electromagnetic environment is complex. We present the most important topics you need to know as a feng shui practitioner and teach you how you can help each client create a sleeping sanctuary to optimize health and well-being.

Personal Clearing and Space Clearing Practices
Feng shui at its core is an energetic practice. Your body radar is turned on to tune into the energy frequencies of your client and their property. Often in the beginning, before your core energy is strong, you may take on the energies of your client and their homes. It is critical to be able to detect any energetic imbalances that may occur within you and then know how to clear them. Tried and true personal clearing methods will be taught and practiced. Space Clearing will be done during the Onsite Consultation.

Creating Sacred Space, Altars and Blessing Ceremonies
What is sacred space - both in environments and within you? When does a space or a collection of objects move from the mundane into the mystical? How do you personally move from our three dimensional reality into your deeper spiritual and sacred attunement with Oneness? Through various methods, we will take our ordinary classroom and move it towards its spiritual capacity as a temple. You will learn how the interior blessing ceremony cleanses the energies of the room and raises its chi. Students will help setup an altar as we discuss the various purposes for altars, how to care for them and what objects can be used for enhancement. Transcendental cures for making an object sacred will be shared and demonstrated.

Onsite Space Clearing
Our onsite practicum is a Space Clearing and an EMF screening and evaluation of a private home or business. This is an opportunity to put advanced knowledge into practice. Hands-on experience in our group setting is invaluable and fun.

Red Envelopes Prior to Module III Webinars
In keeping with the red envelope tradition for sharing valuable feng shui knowledge about cures, students are asked to send 27 red envelopes to the teachers prior to beginning the Module III webinars.

Module III Webinar Topics Include:

The Impact of EMF's on Health
More and more information and scientific studies are linking anxiety, stress and much more to the proximity of common appliances, gadgets and tools in our living and working environments. Learn how electric fields, magnetic fields, and high frequency and dirty electricity contribute to health problems and what you can do about it. You will also learn how high frequency fields associated with wireless systems, mobile phones and cell phones cna be lowered for deeper sleep. This is an essential topic for all feng shui practitioners and anyone designing exterior and interior spaces!

Four Pillar Astrology...Your 10-Year Luck Cycles
This amazing Chinese system of astrology is rooted in the Five Elements. Knowing one's time, date and place of birth you will learn to identify what is needed to bring balance to one's life during any given time. Our Four Pillars webinars deepen your knowledge of the Five Element theory and help you to apply it to people's lives. Working from prepared charts, you will learn how to identify periods of good fortune, when everything seems to magically fall into place as well as times when some assistance is required to bring balance to areas such as work, health, relationships, resources and friends.

Chi Development and Personal Protection Methods
We will teach 16 ways to nourish your chi and encourage a daily practice. We will also teach the Supreme Yoga I and II meditations. These are both valuable and powerful meditations for enhancing your personal chi. Ongoing chi development deepens your attunement with the spiritual nature of feng shui. The other side of chi development is personal protection of your own energy as you work with others. We cover this in depth.

Advanced Cure Methods
Once you implement mundane cures and adjustments, you will want to master the transcendental cures and ceremonies that are the foundation and spirit of the Black Sect tradition of feng shui. Strengthening your alignment with Source and your own chi, having a sincere heart and focusing your intent are keys to successful transcendental cures. Learn the ancient traditions of using rice, liquor and cinnabar mixtures or transcendental cures and become familiar with modern day substitutes.

Space Clearing Methods and Tools
In your feng shui practice, you may find many homes that could use an "energetic vacuum" to clear and lighten the space of lower vibrations and unwanted frequencies of illness, death, anger, violence, to mention a few. Tried and true space clearing methods will be presented, along with an explanation of the tools needed for such work.

At the end of Module III, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance for Module III Studies. Students completing Modules I - III will receive a Feng Shui Professional Practitioner Certification upon completion of case work and are well prepared to practice feng shui professionally and develop their own business.

Our program is set up so that new students can participate for one, two or three modules - depending on your interest. We recognize that some students enjoy learning about feng shui, energy, intuition and related topics and are not interested in becoming practitioners. Current feng shui practitioners can also participate on a daily basis.

Module I will provide a solid background of feng shui and enable everyone to assess living and work spaces. Modules II and III go into depth about intution, energy, astrology, geopathic stress, earth energies, clearing practices and more. We have combined these topics into our unique program because we have found that they all impact the overall environment and the events that are occuring in one's life. With any one topic, you are working with a piece of the puzzle. When you incorporate all of the topics, you are working with a more complete and realistic picture.

We've set up the program so that you can learn the topics in phases. You'll have time between programs to put your learning into practice. Periodic webinars or teleclasses are scheduled to provide ongoing support as well as a forum to answer questions.
